During his 2-day visit to Budapest, Oman's Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, delivered a lecture at the Hungarian Institute of Foreign Affairs and Trade about the relations and cooperation between the two friendly countries.

In his speech the Minister praised the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Hungary during his visit to Hungary. He also spoke enthusiastically  about investment between the two countries.

Sayyid Badr spoke about Oman's efforts to combat climate change and its goal to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050. He added that when combined with Oman's policies for economic diversification in line with the vision of Oman 2040, this offered great possibilities for cooperation with Hungary, to the benefit of both countries.

The Minister also spoke about Oman's foreign policy, emphasising the Sultanate's firm positions, in line with international law, on various regional and international issues and global challenges. He stressed the importance of international  cooperation, dialogue and negotiation to resolve conflicts and differences between countries.
